Straw Dogs is a 2011 thriller film remake of Sam Peckinpah’s 1971 film of the
same title. The film was based from Gordon William’s novel, The Siege of
Trencher’s Farm.
This film remake stars James Marsden as LA scriptwriter David Sumner and Kate
Bosworth as his TV actress wife. They moved back to Amy’s hometown at
Blackwater, Missisipi. There, while tensions build between them, a brewing
conflict with locals becomes a threat to them both.
I think the original was far better than this movie. I felt embarrassed to saw this one. A disappointing movie.
